Greetings I have been watching the records on 3D Pinball Space Cadet and I really need to point this out: There is several cheat codes you can just type in, just 1 code can even let you control the ball with your mouse. Now lets look at the top 5 players. - ColdPie: Very fake record. Just look at their other previous records on the screenshot. - Gbear: I think this record is real. He atleast reached the highest rank twice. - Lawliet: Um... why did he wipe his previous records? I don't know about this one. - mocoma_: Yeah pretty sure he cheated. Got 4 previous legit records and then this? Nope. - Kitniprize: This record looks nice and real. I would like to hear more opinions about these records please :ok:

I have no idea, I don't know much about the game "inside". But what I know is that they are all pretty solid scores here, counting probably days of playing. How could you REALLY know that they are cheating?

The reason I think why ColdPie and mocoma_ records are cheated is because they achieved extremely low scores before this huge score. If someone were to try and reach 100+ million scores, he would need to train a lot and learn techniques. Nobody can legitimately reach a 100+ million score without having atleast a few failed attempts in the 20-80 million category.

But, what if they know really well the game, and just "install" the game to make a quick score and then play the game for having their "huge" one? Regarding this one for instance Sapphire flipper: SwitchSSB made this INSANE score (mine took me around 2 weeks) in the first try. Is it a fake score then? Well, how can we know?

Yes you are right, we cant know 100% for sure, just based on their previous records. I have read of someone who got 169 million legitimately and it took him over 4 hours. That means a 400+ million could roughly take over 8 hours. Its just that this game can be so easily cheated, I have 0 trust in any records that is suspicious. :pff: How do you know SwitchSSB's score isn't fake? :slurp:

For switch, I have no idea. I guess you can't fake a score on a true GBA cartridge ^^ Maybe we could ask for a video proof for those scores? I admit that the first one seems a bit like "an easy cheat one".

Thanks for pointing this, ThePandaEmperor. I also checked that cheat codes exist for this game, unfortunately.:well: I can’t test them now, but I will try, maybe in September. Since some people made big scores on it, I was doubtful, because I know how it is difficult to make +50 millions, which I never done. My old personal record for this game was 23 millions, and I can’t proove it exactly since I delete and download again the game. If I remember, it tooks me around 1 hour to make 23 millions. So, if you saw that people can legitimately make 170 million in around 4 hours, compare to mine, it’s probably logical for this pinball game. However, I agree that scores with more than 100 millions are suspect and really hard to do. They probably used cheat codes, which I remind it is forbidden in VGR, but unfortunately we can’t proove it, even with video, because it will last a too long time for VGR. We can propose to oblige people to proove with a video posted on YouTube, but the policy of VGR has never been to impose video proofs, neither to post on other websites or make external links. The reason why you think they cheated (they achieved only low scores before) is not solid, because you can reset the scores page when you want, and it is also reset when you download again the game. Another detail is that you can move the window score to the left, in order to better see you score, written in blue in the right side of the screen. Not a lot of people done that. But anyway, you can’t oblige people to see this blue score, because the default grey screen is enough to valid proofs (even the cutted one from mocoma) So I think you can make +100 millions score in your first try, if you know all the tricks (mainly how to get extra-balls). I maintain they probably used cheat codes, but we can’t proove it, and can’t oblige them to do it for this game. So, I think we are obliged to trust them.

I agree Zephyraz, this is one of those situations where you know the bad guys are getting away with it, but you cant do much about it :hum::slurp:

I didn't had time to test the cheats codes for this game, sorry. So I just repeat here what I know: I found on internet that there was cheats for this game, unfortunately, and it's sad. I know that it take around 30 min to make around 20 millions, so normally it should take hours to make these huge score for more than 100 millions. So they probably used cheat codes. Normally, cheats codes are forbidden on VGR. But here, nothing in the proofs can show if someone used a cheat code or not: it's impossible to know, even for "small" records. It means: even if we delete these probably cheated scores, everybody can probably make easily 30, 50 or 100 millions with cheat codes. (I say probably, because I did not try to do the same, and I'm not sure to do it soon: I can't access to the game until 2020). Because VGR can't save long time videos, the only solution I see now is to accept these cheat codes, and consider this game differently, unfortunately (with less interest in my opinion).

3D Space Cadet cheat is really simple: activate and then click on the ball to hold it with the mouse. Now move mouse anywhere (no gravity): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITTc7PH5rkA

I just noticed that Gbear's score got blacklisted while his proof looked realistic? I remember he had reached the highest rank twice and 3 other 50+ million scores on different dates, why blacklist that score? The other blacklisted scores had suspicious proofs(Only the 200+ million score alone or sometimes with extreme low scores like 300+ million and 4 other scores below 3 million etc.) I agree with blacklisting those.

ColdPie's is really suspicious, maybe change it to their 2nd score on the in-game rankings because that is probably a legit record & it shouldn't bother anyone.

Maybe, when the score is very high, we should proove it with a video to be sure that there a no cheat on the score we made. For instance, +100M score must have a video proof (That's just an example, you can adjust the score as your wish)
