Curlypaul sent 3 scores for the Vectrex system, which looks suspicious, because all looks to have the same background (from emulation ?):
On Wikipedia page, you can find this picture showing 3 games on original Vectrex: Scramble, Solar Quest and Star Ship:

You can see 3 different backgrounds and screens. There is no scores from CurlyPaul which looks like this, and independantly of the specific removable colored tracing papers (which can be lost or destroyed with time).
Curlypaul has been contacted and he has now 15 days delay to answer to this, here.
The vectrex has a monochrome screen, all of the colour on the screens in that is provided by a transparent overlay.
I do not have all of original overlays for my games, if I don't have the origina one I use a generic UV overlay, which is why the games look different on my photos. I assure you I'm using a real machine
Thanks for your quick answer.
I know that the Vectrex has a specific removable colored tracing papers (transparent overlay), as written in my previous message.
I understand that you can have lost or destroy the overlays with time, as written in my previous message.
But I played Flipper Pinball (Spinball) on Vectrex, and there was neither the name of the game, nor the score written like in your proof picture.
Like you can see on my proof, after the Game Over, it is written "Replay: any key", and the score is displayed on the top down right place, among other specific graphic lines of this game.
You can see other video on YouTube (not mine, but better score than you and me) here:
Your proof picture doesn't look like this.
Can you show us a video, containing a specific tag "Curlypaul", showing you playing the Vectrex system, and the game FlipperPinball (Spinball), with or without the overlay, just to confirm the way the score is displayed (no matters what your score will be) ?
It would be appreciable, thanks.
Thanks again for having made this video, as I requested.
Even if there is not a kind of tag signature which identify you, as asked, you directly put this video on your personal YouTube account, so it identifies you, that's fine.
Thanks for having shown and explained me (and us) the way the score is displayed at the end, I didn't know about this.
In fact, I played the Vectrex few times in conventions (that's why my score is not as good as others), and no one was able to wait until the final screen score appears (there was many successive players).
This is now good to know and learn for other Vectrex games, so thank you, we all are always learning with video games.
For Flipper Pinball (or Spinball), there is different game names, but it is known, as written in the title of the game on VGR.
I hope you understood that this situation needed explanations, and that this kind of topic is always first made to clear this.
Your Vectrex proofs have now been validated, there is no problem.
Don't hesitate to make video proofs for difficult cases for Proof admins, and in general with old original systems, because now we are obliged to be more and more vigilant with these ones, in order to guarantee a fair and fun competition in VGR.
Also don't hesitate to signal us suspicious scores or proofs from other members, this "Cheaters ?" topic is made for that.
Thanks for your understanding, have a nice continuation on VGR. 😉
Not a problem at all!
It's not like communities like The Elite where they only track Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, nobody can be an expert in every game that's tracked here, it's not feasible.
Now that I've figured out something to use as a camera stand, I may well video future scores as some vectrex games don't show the score for long.
Thank you for accepting my proofs!
