In Out Run, there don't seems to be some bonuses which increase the score. But even that and despite that, it is really difficult to know or to detect what makes the score higher (the shortest and fastest road, or the ability to stay in the longer road ?). Whatever it is, I think you can create 2 types of records: score (+) and time (-), like in [url=https://www.video-games-records.com/super-hang-on-jeu-j1860.html]Super Hang-On[/url] finally.

Yes. No separate tracks required of the route you took. All routes valid in high score & time.
