Nintendo Switch - New Release

• Bravely Default II - A very nice first entry for Bravely series outside Nintendo 3DS.
• Cri Tales - A fresh and nice concept support for a classic JRPG with nice characters and story about time travel.
• WarioWare: Get It Together! - Finally a classic WarioWare without motion gaming on home console, I see YES to this.
• Mario Party Superstars - Finally a classic Mario Party without motion gaming on home console, I see YES to this but this game deserves more support with free DLC soon like more classics N64 map and stuffs to be more complete

Nintendo Switch - Remake / Remaster / Port / DLC / Add-on

• The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword HD - Finally finish this zelda, thanks to the possiblity to play without motion gaming.
• Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury - Bower's Fury is a fresh and cool really small game, this add-on is really something to do

My Must Have on 2021

PC

• Bro Falls : Ultimate Showdown : I didn't spend much time on the game, but for the time I did spend, I had a lot of fun! (Especially when you can hit your friends like Tseko :D ). It's a Fall Guys seems-like.

• Golf With Your Friends : I didn't spend much time on this game too ! I've always loved golf games so I've had a lot of fun with my friends ! 

• One Piece: Unlimited World Red : What can I say... I joined the One Piece community this year, having already seen/read everything and being up to date on the anime and manga. I still haven't finished this game, but I add it in my Must-Have because I really enjoy playing it and I know it will end up in the games I enjoyed the most!

• Trackmania Turbo : I had a great time on Trackmania Turbo. There are many different environments and fun to play!

• Koloro : Very good platform game! I recommend it. I really like the graphics.

Android

• Compulsive : I spent a little time on it and it was cool to try to max out the score! 

• Piffle : I didn't try to max my scores for this game, I just played it level by level and it's nice but hard on some levels :/

Wii 

• Donkey Kong Barrel Blast : One of my favourite Wii game ! I finally completed it this year and I didn't regret it ! I recommend it If you can play on Wii.

1) Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS4) :

Un jeu d’aventures au temps des Vikings énorme, tant dans la taille des cartes à explorer et de la multitude de quêtes en tout genre, mais pourtant assez loin d’être parfait.
Côté déception, le jeu est toujours uniquement en anglais, et vendu sans ses extensions (utiles ?), disponibles plus tard (et en DLC d’abord). Surtout, de gros bugs faisant carrément planter le jeu sont très gênants (aumoins 50 fois, 30 heures perdues !), je n’ai jamais vu ça sur un jeu neuf et récent : très rageant !
Quelques quêtes annexes sont superflues, comme dans presque chaque jeu de la série, il fallait s’y attendre.

Mais la profondeur de l’histoire, la variété incroyable des quêtes et des paysages, et la fluidité exceptionnelle de l’ensemble font oublier les points négatifs. 
Sincèrement, jamais un jeu en monde ouvert n’aura été si agréable à découvrir, chaque recoin étant unique et intéressant.
Le côté jeu de rôle/RPG dans les choix du scénario (assez inspiré par The Witcher III, qui reste néanmoins largement meilleur sur ce point) et la gestion des armes (excellente) apporte un gros plus à une série qui ne cesse de se renouveler.
D’autres jeux font mieux côté graphismes (comme Red Dead Redemption 2 ou The Last of Us 2), mais ce n’est pas là l’essentiel, et ça reste vraiment agréable de bout en bout.

Ce jeu est un véritable voyage, avec une gestion de l’exploration idéale (on traverse très rarement la carte pendant 5 minutes sans avoir quelquechose à faire ou fouiller), et incroyablement variée. 

L’alternance action-découverte-cinématiques est quasi parfaite, de bout en bout, et à n’importe quel endroit de la carte, gigantesque ! 

C’est simple : on a envie de tout découvrir, ou presque. On peut donc y passer de longues heures…

A huge adventure game, during Vikings period, both in the size of the map to explore and in the multitude of quests of all kinds. But yet far from perfection.

On the negative side, the (french) game is still only in english, and sold without its (useful?) extensions, available later (and in DLC first). Above all, big bugs causing game crashes are very annoying (50 times, 30 hours lost!), I have never seen this on a new and recent game: very annoying!

A few side quests are useless, as in almost every game in the series, it was predictible.
But the depth of the story, the incredible variety of quests and landscapes, and the exceptional fluidity of the whole make forget the negative points. Sincerely, no open-world game has already been so pleasant to discover, every corner being unique and interesting.

The role-playing (RPG) side in the choices of the scenario (quite inspired by The Witcher III, which nevertheless remains much better on this point) and the (excellent) weapons management brings a big advantage to a series that keeps renewing itself.

Other games have better graphics (like Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Last of Us 2), but that’s not the main thing, and this game is still really nice from start to end.

This game is a real journey, with an ideal exploration management (you very rarely crosses the map for 5 minutes without having anything to do or search), and incredibly various. 

The action-discovery-cinematic alternation is almost perfect, from start to end, and at any place on the map: amazing !

It’s simple: we want to discover everything, or almost everything. So you can spend many hours on it …

2) Death Stranding (PS4) :

Notez que je n’ai pas encore terminé le jeu entièrement, mais je pense avoir fait environ 75%.
Un jeu d’aventures particulier, qui propose une quête étonnante pour un jeu de qualité « AAA ».

Dans un monde post-apocalyptique copié sur les paysages d’Islande, ce jeu de livraison d’un point A à un point B paraît à priori contemplatif et trop répétitif.
Pourtant, chaque itinéraire est varié et propose des défis un peu différents, et requiert une bonne mémoire, et surtout une bonne organisation des ressources matérielles… et du temps !

En effet, chaque installation « bonus » créée pour gagner du temps (pour les records VGR, qui sont nombreux), se détériore peu à peu, donc… au cours du temps ! A partir d’un moment, il faut donc attentivement savoir gérer les avantages et inconvénients de chaque aide du jeu.
Si bien qu’on se retrouve au final avec un jeu de gestion stratégique frustrant, et assez répétitif pour ceux qui veulent tout découvrir et tout débloquer.
Mais c’est une habitude chez Kojima, le réalisateur-star du jeu, qui a volontairement conçu ce jeu ainsi, tout comme il a prévu l’absence totale d’aide pour ceux qui ne jouent pas en ligne.
Dommage, car ce jeu spécial se mérite, vraiment.

Ce qui m’a plu est l’originalité du concept, l’ambiance futuriste quasi-désertique, le casting « cinéma », et le fait qu’on soit tout de même récompensé par nos efforts.

La stratégie paye, mais c’est parfois trop long.

Mention spéciale pour la bande-son et les doublages français, dans le ton du jeu.
J’étais déjà prévenu par les fausses joies du scénario dans un autre jeu de Kojima (Metal Gear Solid V : Phantom Pain, que je recommande davantage), alors au final je ne suis pas déçu.
Tout ça pour quoi ? Je n’en sais encore rien, je vais essayer de finir ce jeu prochainement…

A special adventure game, which offers an amazing quest for an “AAA”quality game.

In a post-apocalyptic world copied on the landscapes of Iceland, this delivery game (from point A to point B) seems a priori contemplative and too repetitive.

However, each “road-trip” is various and offers slightly different challenges, requires a good memory, and above all a good organization of material resources… and some time!

Indeed, each “bonus” installation created to save time (for the VGR records, which are numerous), is gradually deteriorating, so… in the course of time! From a moment on, you must therefore carefully know how to manage the advantages and disadvantages of each game aid.

So we end up with a frustrating strategic management game, and repetitive enough for those who want to discover and unlock everything.

But it is a habit with Kojima, the star-director of the game, who deliberately designed this game as well, just as he predicted the total absence of help for those who don’t play online.

Too bad, because this special game deserves your attention, really.

What I liked was the originality of the concept, the almost desert futuristic atmosphere, the «Hollywood» casting, and the fact that we are still rewarded by our efforts.
Strategy pays off, but sometimes it takes too long.

Special mention for the soundtrack and french dubbing, in the tone of the game.

I was already warned by the false joys of the scenario, in another Kojima game (Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, which I recommend more), so in the end I’m not disappointed.

All of this, for what? I don’t know yet, I will try to finish this game soon…

3) Hades (PS4)

Ce jeu d’action aux graphismes 2D travaillés, plaisants et colorés, est très court à terminer (environ 30 à 45 minutes par session) : une vingtaine d’heures seulement, si on se contente de la fin standard. 
Mais dans sa version complète, c’est davantage un jeu typé RPG avec des bonus aléatoires, qui peut ajouter des dizaines d’handicaps différents, et qui renouvellent énormément son intérêt.  
Entre les armes, leurs options, les bonus associés, et les événements du jeu, le côté aléatoire rend l’ensemble très intéressant. Des centaines de combinaisons sont possibles, chaque session est différente ! Le jeu peut aussi être très nerveux ou répétitif pour certains, à vous de juger.
Mais on a souvent l’envie de relancer une (courte) partie, c’est donc une belle découverte.

This action game with 2D graphics well made, pleasant and colorful, is very short to finish (about 30 to 45 minutes per run): only twenty hours, if you are satisfied with the standard end. 

But in its full version, it is more an RPG-type game with random bonuses, which can add dozens of different handicaps, and which renew its interest enormously. 

Between the weapons, their options, associated bonuses, and game events, the random side makes the set very interesting. Hundreds of combinations are possible, each run is different ! 
The game can also be very nervous or repetitive for some of you, it’s up to you to judge.

But because we often want to restart a (short) game, I think it’s a nice game to discover.

Prix spécial, hors catégorie : le Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro

Impossible de ne pas mentionner ici cette console et ses 40 jeux (pour la Christmas Edition) de combat (séries des Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown) ou de tir (série des Metal Slug) principalement. On peut jouer avec le stick arcade, ou avec la manette aussi fournie.
Dommage qu’il y ait des possibilités de sauvegarde, mais ça devient habituel pour ce type de réédition.
Plusieurs jeux rares, et d’autres pépites extrêmement chères dans leur version d’origine, sont ici enfin réunis pour permettre de les découvrir, avec nostalgie ou non. Un achat largement rentable, donc.

Enfin et surtout, certains jeux sont toujours très efficaces, même actuellement.
J’ai notamment apprécié les deux volets de The Last Blade.

Special award: the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro

Impossible to not mention here this system and its 40 games (for the Christmas Edition), fighting (series of Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown) or shooting games (series of Metal Slug) mainly. You can play with the arcade stick, or with the pad, also provided.

Too bad that there are possibilities of saving, but it becomes usual for this type of reissue.

Several rare games, and other extremely expensive treasures in their original version, are finally gathered here to allow you to discover them, with nostalgia or not. A widely profitable purchase, therefore.

Finally and above all, some games are still very nice and effective, even now.

In particular, I enjoyed both parts of The Last Blade.

My game of the year and Pikmin 1 on Gamecube, the last game made of the year and the only one from the Gamecube. I will correct this error for next year with more Gamecube game
