My Must Have on 2022

PC

Phasmophobia

• I spent 65 hours playing Phasmophobia with friends. I bought it earlier the year and enjoyed it a lot. The game is kinda stressful when you play alone 😨
   

Risk of Rain 2

• I spent 38 hours playing Risk of Rain 2 (with friends too 😆). This game is really good and I enjoy playing it. I recommend it. 

Splitgate 

• First time I tried a game with portals. I immediatly enjoyed it and It gaves me the feeling that I should try a game...

Portal & Portal 2

• It was one of the best game I played this year. I love strategy games like this with portal guns.

Escape Simulator 

• Very good riddle game. I advise to do it with several people, it's much more funny 😁

It Takes Two

• I'm about to finish it with a friend and the main story of the game is good and the gameplay is nice. You should try it 🙂

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4

• Users that really know me knows that I really enjoy One Piece a lot. (It's my favorite manga / anime). Really cool gameplay that trace the story of One Piece with our straw hats characters and islands they visted. (At the time I'm writting this, I'm listening to an opening of One Piece 😆) 

Switch

New Pokemon Snap

• Really chill game in the world of Pokémon, that I always loved. 

Super Mario 3D All-Stars

• I didn't finish it because I got it recently but I started Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario Sunshine used to be my favorite game years ago, when I played on my gamecube. I never played Super Mario Galaxy so I'm discovering it. I'll do Super Mario 64 later 😆

Pokémon Violet

• Indeed, here's the best game of 2022 (in my opinion). The main story is really good and is really touching. The new pokemons are really cool and my favorite one in this generation is obviously Miraidon. New trainers and characters like Professor Turo, Nemona (Menzi), Arven (Pepper) and Penny (Pania). A main story based on school was really a nice idea.

That's everything I enjoyed in 2022! 😁

FR:

1) Horizon Forbidden West (Playstation 4)

Une belle et grande aventure, pour un jeu que j’attendais vraiment, comme beaucoup.
Le jeu comporte une durée de vie appréciable, dans le jeu standard, et sans recourir à des DLC comme dans le 1^er épisode.
La taille de la carte à explorer est assez grande, et comme attendu, comporte de nombreuses quêtes annexes, parfois plus intéressantes que la principale (linéaire).
Le gameplay est devenu plus vertical, heureusement car c’était vraiment nécessaire dans un jeu d’aventure. Pour la fluidité générale, cela reste encore (hélas) assez loin de la série des Assassin’s Creed.

Point majeur de ce jeu : la diversité et le rendu des graphismes des environnements est appréciable, c’est beau et contemplatif.
Côté scénario, c’était prévisible, j’ai trouvé cet épisode moins intéressant, beaucoup plus brouillon dans l’ensemble, et souvent répétitif dans les quêtes annexes. 
Les défis à records sont intéressants, mais souvent trop courts (moins de 2 min).

Au final, une série intéressante, mais encore améliorable.

2) Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection (Playstation 4)

Un jeu qui regroupe la collection complète des 6 jeux de combat de cette série, sortie à l’époque sur Neo Geo. L’univers japonais, parfois déjanté, est bien présent.
Le gameplay est permissif pour les néophytes, heureusement.
L’atout de cette compil est aussi dans les bonus très complets, plutôt pour les fans (documentation, histoire, graphisme, interview, et combats de pros).

Une bonne découverte, donc.

3) Star Wars Squadrons (Playstation 4)

Un jeu de combat aérien, où il faut un bon sens de l’orientation 3D, et un écran TV de taille raisonnable.
Le jeu est intéressant dans son mode solo, où le scénario alterne judicieusement les points de vue des 2 camps, mais certainement davantage en mode en ligne. 
La différence de style de combat entre les vaisseaux n’est pas si marquée, et il y a une grosse différence de rendu graphique dès qu’on n’est plus dans le vaisseau.
L’histoire est (trop) vite terminée, dommage.
Heureusement, les cinématiques et l’ambiance sonore nous immergent très bien dans l’univers Star Wars, et on passe un bon moment, c’est le principal. 

Hors catégorie : la Sega Megadrive Mini 2

Même si j’ai à peine le temps de jouer à tous ces jeux (60 !), l’achat de cette console était une évidence, tant le rapport qualité/prix semble intéressant.
Entre les jeux que je connais bien (After Burner II, Desert Strike, Out-Run, Super Hang-On, Super Street Fighter II, Thunder Force IV, Virtua Racing) d’autres « découvertes » sorties sur Mega CD (Ecco the Dolphin, Final Fight, The Ninja Warriors, Silpheed), plus d’autres inconnus, ça justifie déjà cet achat. 
J’ai hâte d’avoir un peu de temps devant moi pour y (re)jouer, avec nostalgie ou non, et je l’espère dès cette année.

PS : désolé pour le délai de ma réponse, mais je suis toujours très occupé.
D’ailleurs, je n’ai pas encore eu le temps de terminer un jeu qui était dans mon Top 3 en 2022 : Death Stranding.

EN:

1) Horizon Forbidden West (Playstation 4)

A beautiful and great adventure, for a game I really expected, like many.
The game has an appreciable lifespan, in the standard game, and without using DLC as in the 1st episode.
The size of the map to explore is quite large, and as expected, has many side quests, sometimes more interesting than the main (linear).
The gameplay became more vertical, fortunately because it was really necessary in an adventure game. For the general fluidity, it still remains (alas) quite far from the Assassin’s Creed series.

Major point of this game: the diversity and rendering of the graphics of the environments is appreciable, it is beautiful and contemplative.
On the scenario side, it was predictable, I found this episode less interesting, much more rough overall, and often repetitive in the side quests. 
The record challenges are interesting, but often too short (less than 2 min).

In the end, an interesting series, but still improved.

2) Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection (Playstation 4)

A game that includes the complete collection of 6 fighting games of this series, released at the time on Neo Geo. The Japanese universe, sometimes crazy, is very present.
The gameplay is permissive for neophytes, fortunately.
The advantage of this compilation is also in the very complete bonuses, rather for fans (documentation, history, graphics, interview, and professional fights).

A good discovery, then.

3) Star Wars Squadrons (Playstation 4)

An air combat game, where you need a good sense of 3D orientation, and a TV with a reasonable screen size.
The game is interesting for the solo mode, where the scenario wisely alternates the views of both sides, but certainly more in online mode. 
The difference in fighting style between the ships isn’t that marked, and there’s a big difference in graphic rendering as soon as you’re out of the ship.
The story is (too) quickly over, too bad.

Fortunately, the cinematics and the sound atmosphere immerse us very well in the Star Wars universe, and we enjoyed the time played, that’s the main thing. 

Out of category: the Sega Megadrive Mini 2

Even if I barely have time to play all these games (60!), the purchase of this console was obvious, as the quality/price ratio seems interesting.

Among the games I know well (After Burner II, Desert Strike, Out-Run, Super Hang-On, Super Street Fighter II, Thunder Force IV, Virtua Racing) other «discoveries» released on Mega CD (Ecco the Dolphin, Final Fight, The Ninja Warriors, Silpheed), and other unknowns, it already justifies this purchase. 
I can’t wait to have some time in front of me to (re)play, with nostalgia or not, and I hope this year.

PS: sorry for the late post, I’m still really busy.
By the way, I did not find time to finish one of my Top 3 games 2022: Death Stranding.
