Quel dommage !!!! J'aurais pu faire le coup parfait avec mon 0-0 à la fin du temps réglementaire 
C'était quand même un chouette tournoi de pronostics, j'ai payé mon très mauvais départ mais je me suis bien rattrapé à partir des phases finales.
L'EURO en lui même m'a semblé d'un niveau et d'une intensité inférieurs aux derniers qu'on avait vécu, au global, même si certains matchs faisaient figure de finale avant l'heure (Espagne - Italie, Italie - Allemagne, France - Allemagne) et qu'on a adoré voir l'Islande en Quart et le pays de Galles en demi.
Enfin, un système de meilleurs 3èmes à revoir selon moi, qui n'était ni très clair, ni très équitable.
C'était quand même un chouette tournoi de pronostics, j'ai payé mon très mauvais départ mais je me suis bien rattrapé à partir des phases finales.

But Portugal was a big deception for me during the tournament, i was sure they would win easily during the 3 1st matches and then would go to semi finals at least ! But then, after 3 draws and a lucky 3rd place in their pool, and then another draw against poland, i was changing my mind about them. Too bad.

What I feared after the game against Germany finally happened: a closed game against the Portuguese with their limited way of playing, and even more after the release of their semi-god semi-coach, Ronaldo. With the heat and fatigue, something to which I should have better think for my bets, I thought then that only actions on free kick or corner might unblock the situation, I was wrong. Congratulations to Eder (from Lille club) for his beautiful off-surface strike.
Concerning Portugal, cannot say that their process style was flamboyant: after finishing 3rd in their group and grazed the elimination, then the incredibly boring game against Croatia, they passed to Poland (narrowly) and Wales. But it is also true that they have been able to produce the game when necessary, in groups and after against the Welsh, and wait for the opportunities when facing France. Anyway, I believe that the EURO has shown that each team has questionable faults, in fact no team has really dominated this tournament.
Concerning France, the match against Germany 3 days earlier had to leave traces in the spirits, but also in physical recovery, certainly. Surprisingly, and unlike most fans, I was less tense against Germany that for this final. I knew that France was in a positive dynamic, after their spectacular game against surprising Icelanders. And was at the Germany level after 2014 and the friendly game of the last sad 13 November, even though the teams have changed since.
With such board in french side, we can finally thank that it has not had more games tight as Sunday, if not we also might not go in the final.
I must confess that I saw France not go as high before the tournament, due to their mean defence with the absence of the injured (Varane, Sakho, Debuchy, Mathieu...) and the presence of Rami. They finally gave me wrong with a lot of mental abnegation, so much the better for them, it is at least a good surprise for me. For sure, it's terrible to finish like this, so frustrating and so close to the final victory, in addition to an enthusiastic audience and at home.
But I also see it as a sign that this team, despite the absent, was able to show solidarity and conquering. The master Deschamps, who controls almost everything, including federal, is surely responsible for this good thing. The fact that most of the players work in big clubs is preponderant, but the Deschamps touch, his psychology and his experience of the top level did the rest. Don’t forget that it has been able to dispense with Benzema, while he was the top french goalscorer and he was in great form with Real Madrid. I'm curious to see the next, which may still run a lot of ink (or tweets, for younger). Hoping that the best is yet to come, because the Griezmann generation, born after 1991, has potential and a sacred bundle of talent!
For this competition of bets, I am of course very happy to finish first
, because I have not forgotten that it was really tight to the end with Basile, even with the inseparable duo BlackShark-wiild. Congrats to my buddy greendayseb who knew how to go back in time to finish in the first half of table, it is also what I was aiming humbly before this tournament. At least we can say that one knows football and its players, even if it is not necessarily shown on our profile VGR. Moreover, I believe that having played many hours Football Manager 2015 somewhat helped me on it. I recommend it to you , it is the favorite game of Antoine Griezmann...
I admit that I was quite surprised by the disappointing of the Spain and the Belgium process, and the surprises of the Hungary and the Italy. But I had expected quite a lot of things: the elimination of countries like Russia, Ukraine, Austria (yet unbeaten in qualifications) and the nice tournament of Poland and Wales. I am particularly happy to have predicted SPAIN – TUR 3-0, matches tight as SPAIN - Czech REP. 1-0, N. IRL - GER 0-1, or WAL - N. IRL 1-0, and others (penalty shootout GER-ITA with a great opposition Neuer-Buffon)...
I suspected that the Iceland was strong, but not at this point. It is the beautiful adventure of the Euro, with a huge audience. Above all, 10% of the population was in the stadium, and 99% followed the match on TV... ("whou!").
EURO 2016 summary: so I got 29 good tendance bets in 51 games, including 7 right scores.

Ce que je craignais après le match contre l’ Allemagne s’est finalement réalisé : un match fermé contre des portugais au jeu limité, et encore plus après la sortie de leur demi-coach demi-dieu Ronaldo. Avec la chaleur et la fatigue, chose à laquelle j’aurais dû mieux réfléchir pour mes pronos, je pensais alors que seules des actions sur coup-franc ou corner auraient pu débloquer la situation, j’avais tort. Bravo à Eder le lillois pour cette belle frappe hors-surface.
Concernant le Portugal, on ne peut pas dire que leur parcours soit flamboyant : après avoir terminé 3ème de leur groupe et frôlé l’élimination, puis le match incroyablement soporifique face à la Croatie , ils sont passés face à la Pologne (de justesse) et le Pays de Galles. Mais il faut dire aussi qu’ils ont su produire du jeu quand il le fallait, en poules puis contre les gallois, et attendre les opportunités face à la France. De toute façon, je crois que cet EURO a montré que chaque équipe a des failles critiquables, en fait personne n’a vraiment dominé le tournoi.
Concernant la France, le match contre l’Allemagne 3 jours plus tôt a dû laisser des traces dans les esprits, mais aussi dans la récupération physique, c’est certain. Bizarrement et contairement à la plupart des supporters, j’étais moins tendu contre l’Allemagne que pour cette finale. Je savais que la France était dans une dynamique positive, après leur match spectaculaire face aux surprenants islandais. Et était du niveau de l’Allemagne après 2014 et le match amical du triste 13 Novembre dernier, même si les équipes ont changé depuis.
Avec un tel tableau côté français, on peut finalement remercier qu’on n’ait pas eu plus de matchs serrés comme dimanche, sinon on aurait aussi très bien pu ne pas aller en finale.
Je dois avouer que je ne voyais pas la France aller aussi haut avant le tournoi, à cause de leur défense moyenne avec l’absence des blessés (Varane, Sakho, Debuchy, Mathieu…) et la présence de Rami.
Ils m’ont finalement donné tort avec beaucoup d’abnégation mentale, tant mieux pour eux, c’est aumoins une bonne surprise pour moi.
C’est sûr que c’est terrible de finir comme cela, de manière aussi frustrante et si près de la victoire finale, qui plus est devant un public enthousiaste et à domicile.
Mais j’y vois aussi un signe que cette équipe, malgré les absents, a su se montrer solidaire et conquérante. Le maître Deschamps, qui contrôle presque tout, fédé comprise, y est sûrement pour quelquechose. Le fait que la plupart des joueurs évoluent dans de grandes équipes est prépondérant, mais la patte Deschamps, sa psychologie et son expérience du haut niveau ont fait le reste.
N’oublions pas qu’il a su se passer de Benzema, alors qu’il était le meilleur buteur français et qu’il était en grande forme au Real Madrid. Je suis curieux de voir la suite, qui risque encore de faire couler pas mal d’encre (ou de tweets, pour les plus jeunes). En espérant que le meilleur reste à venir, car la génération Griezmann née après 1991 a du potentiel et un sacré paquet de talents !
Pour ce concours de pronos, je suis biensûr très content de terminer premier
, car je n’oublie pas que ce fut vraiment serré jusqu’au bout avec Basile, voire avec le duo inséparable BlackShark-wiild.Bravo à mon coéquipier greendayseb qui a su remonter à temps pour finir dans la première moitié de tableau, c’est aussi ce que je visais humblement avant ce tournoi.
Aumoins on peut dire que l’on connait bien le foot et ses joueurs, même si on ne le voit pas forcément sur notre profil VGR. D’ailleurs, je crois qu’avoir joué de nombreuses heures à Football Manager 2015 m’a un peu aidé là -dessus. Je vous le conseille, c’est d’ailleurs le jeu favori d’Antoine Griezmann…
J’avoue que j’ai été assez surpris par le parcours décevant de l’Espagne et de la Belgique, et par les bonnes surprises de la Hongrie et de l’Italie.
Mais j’ avais prévu pas mal de choses : l’ élimination des pays comme la Russie, l’ Ukraine , l’Autriche ( pourtant invaincue en qualifs), et le joli tournoi de la Pologne et du Pays de Galles.
Je suis particulièrement content d’avoir prédit ESP-TUR 3-0, des matchs serrés comme ESP-TCH REP. 1-0, N. IRL-ALL 0-1 ou GAL-N. IRL 1-0, et d’autres (la séance de tirs aux buts mémorable ALL-ITA, avec le superbe duel Neuer-Buffon).
Je me doutais que l’ Islande était redoutable, mais pas à ce point, c’est la belle aventure de cet Euro, avec un public énorme. Surtout, 10% de la population était dans le stade, et 99% ont suivi le match à la télé…(« wouh ! »).
