Ban time for certain rules broken

This is regarding the ban time length for breaking certain Site rules that don’t result in such a bad consequence, in other words, rules that are less severe and can be fixed easily, such as the use of emulator ban time, which can be fixed by removing that record from the game. I, myself, am finally a couple weeks away from the end of a ban for this reason. Now, I will be honest and say that just before i got banned five months ago in early March, I had just heard that emulation use wasn’t allowed in cyberscore, another video game record posting website. I then realized my mistake there and the kindly let me off with a warning and I told them what scores to remove. About a day later I had realized I did the same thing here in vgr. I started to think of how I could explain on the forum how I used an emulator but had not known that they were prohibited when I originally the record. Miraculously, however, a few people had just let me know that a picture proof I sent showed icons In a corner of the  screenshot implying my use of emulation  I quickly affirmed that  I had used an emulator but was not aware of the fact that they were not allowed. An admin gave me a 6 month ban for violating that rule! I was very shocked by this! I DID expected a ban from this but I had predicted  it being at MOST 3 month, especially since cyberscore kindly gave me a simple warning to inform me of the rule! Of course now I am finally nearing the end of my ban on July 4th, so not much can be done about me, but in the future for new users i strongly urge to shorten ban Time by around 2-3 months unless the users repeat the action, which then can highly increase the ban time once more.

it goes especially concerned the controllers, it can be tolerant and say attention this score and done on emulator it is forbidden and ask you for the list to delete them or then open a cheat topic for emulator uses and normally there is a debate to know if there is ban or not
if there was a ban without a cheat topic to discuss, it is an admins error

In my opinion, i think a “Warning” must be apply only if the member is honnest.

Je pense que vous appliquer un règlement Trop sévère, et que vous faites peur aux gens et qu'ils ne veulent plus revenir… L'avertissement pourrait être mis en place si le joueur est honnête, mais si il recommence alors cela devient un acte volontaire et le bannissement obligatoire plus ou moins long.

Un icône 1st Warning à côté du pseudo, pour un rappel. par exemple.

Car il se peut que des joueurs qui ont menti seulement pour éviter le bannissement et du coup ils se tiennent à carreaux, mais non pas été sanctionné. Alors que Potatoman9 vous à dis la vérité directement et vous le remercier par un bannissement… Un peu sévère non ? surtout 6 mois…
