Video proof sumbmission issue

First I want to apologize if there is a thread to post problems like these but I logged into my account today which the last time I was online was over five years ago so please forgive me if I made an error posting this. The problem I have is this site used to allow posting a video from your computer to use as proof which I did for all of my records. However when I went to post a proof of a record I set today it asked me for a URL link which it was basically asking my to post the video elsewhere then link it to that site and then it would show up here. I honestly don't really want to have to make a YouTube account to post my video proofs that I have for records I set so I am wondering if you can implement the adding videos feature directly like the old site had? There is no problem with you writing in english, although most of the team is french speaking this website is international and we try for the most part to communicate in english as we have players from all around the world. I am not aware of any implementations to bring back that feature so somebody else will have to answer that but my guess is we moved to third party hosting to ligthen up the server. Note that I could be wrong, I'm fairly new in the team.

But it shouldn't be necessary for you to create a youtube account to post your video proofs, I've never tried but I believe any third party host would work as long as you provide the correct linking URL.

First, I sincerely appreciate the reply and for replying in English. Second, I figured that was the reason they got rid of it but if they allow linking from a third party site that should be enough to lessen the load on the servers. The evidence I have for this is that the video submission feature was used a lot but mainly because there wasn't a third party hosting link option. Now that they have this option, less people would use the video submission feature naturally and unless I'm wrong on this completely, this should be a correct analysis. In conclusion, I think they should allow submitting videos directly again because less people will be using it now because of the third party URL video linking and it helped people who didn't want to or couldn't submit there videos on other video websites. Also I don't want to divert from my initial issue but I want to being up that a change email option needs to be added to the site so members can change there email address in case they lose or cannot access their old one. A lot of changes have occured with the new V7 of the website (which took place almost a year ago now), a few other features have been modified and we're still working on bringing back some of them. Video hosting might take some time to implement in our current version but I agree with your suggestion, it would be nice to have an alternative. Video proof should become a more important part of VGR in 2022.

With Version 7, some people gets trouble logging in, if this is your case or you wish to change some credentials I'd recommend visiting our discord channel and ask for an admin. Or ask to get in contact on the forum.

On v6 we have own system video, but its very difficult to develop, and it costs a very big data on server.
So now we use external system like twitch/youtube, very easy fo us.

And maybe an feature to change email with a email confirmation will be great, bu juste comme and ask and an admin will change it.
