As written by xdman yesterday 10th July 2022, it's impossible to distinguish the Genesis/Megadrive and Sega CD/Mega CD version with pictures alone.
So from now, if you prove (strongly suggested, but still not mandatory), you can do it only with video proof (so not with picture).
