Well I saw the final episode last night, I was disappointed and happy with the outcome.
I was really hoping that Jack would assassinate the Russian president and start a war between the two countries, that would've been a great ending.
but he backed out in favor of a plan to expose them instead, which failed. In the end the US president decided to do the right thing and expose it herself instead of continuing to cover up the Russian's involvement with the terrorist attack. I think she changed her mind when she was holding the pen that president Hassan had given her, she did the right thing in his memory, I think.
In the end, the president allowed Jack to escape free and go into hiding, without any drones tracking him. She warned him that the Russians would be looking for him since he killed several of them that were involved with the terrorist attack.
The Russians will be trying to find Jack and kill him, that's going to be what the movie will be about, as they have already hinted at it.
