Final score: 6.003.160
----
Fourth S++ grade I did of all chapters, after a short hiatus.
This chapter is HARD to chain. Many hazards, many things to consider, multiple midbosses that count for the bonus timer. I'd dare to say that if you played it on normal, it's genuinely the hardest stage to S++, all because of the bullet wheel.
Lovely, lovely bullet wheel (0:38). I consider it the biggest puzzle the game has to offer. More than half of my attempts failed while full chaining it.
It's also the reason why I was forced to play on Easy instead. On Normal, the addition of extra enemies plus revenge bullets makes navigating it a huge, HUGE pain.
First you have to get used to the waves of bullets by no other way than brute force. Then you have to remember to kill balls on a timely manner to not get overwhelmed by them.
The planes that appear during the section at 1:40 are a huge dopamine boost.
I intentionally don't deal with most of the middle ships at 2:58 because they're a pain in the ass. Give it a shot if you feel like trying, but I think it's better to focus on the balls while you can.
Another big issue was chaining the mini-turrets that are going to crash into each other at 3:17. It would have been better if they could all aim towards you, but since it seems they have a limited angle, it feels bad to dodge them. It's crucial to keep as few turrets of the opposite polarity alive as possible, specially during the final waves.
Finally, the planes at 4:05 suck. It happened plenty of times where one of them would slip right under my noses and not be killed, reason why I intentionally don't deal with specific sets of them.
I suicide into the boss to take advantage of not needing the lives for anything else. First of all, you have to open a barrier quickly by entering into the tiny gap available when you hit it enough. Then, once it's not viable to shoot at it without dying, you then... die. And while you're invulnerable you have at it again. This strat lended me enough points to get an S++ (cutoff was 6M; I was only over 3000 points over!) so it's definitely worth a shot.
