Game Suggestion

I would like to suggest Sonic Classic Collection, for the Nintendo DS.

The categories would consist of Most Rings, Best Time or High Score.
The Most Rings and Best Time categories would be for every zone, except for Final Zone (Sonic 1) and Death Egg Zone (Sonic 2) because they contain no rings.

Example: Sonic Classic Collection - Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Best Time - Emerald Hill Zone Act 1
Score: 0:47

High Score can be split into two further categories. Overall High Score, which is the high score you obtained at the end of the game, and, exclusive to Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, Blue Sphere High Score, which is the adding of points obtained from rings and the Perfect bonus.

Most Rings can also be split between Act Most Rings, and Special Stage Most Rings. Act Most Rings is how many rings you collected in an individual act, and Special Stage Most Rings is the amount of points obtained from rings, divided by 100, to give an accurate ring total.

Example: Sonic Classic Collection - Sonic The Hedgehog - Special Stage 1 Most Rings
Score: 5200. 5200 points equals to 52 rings.

Sonic Classic Collection contains some pretty nifty features, including Pausing at any moment, even on score screens, Save, and Load, making it easy to submit a record and continue from where you left off in case you quit or got a game over.

For Sonic 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, I would suggest separate leaderboards for different characters, due to their unique abilities.

I would type down every game, zone and act for charts, but if I do that this message will just be too long.

For this, we need to know the extent of the Save and Load feature. When can you save and how often can you load a save? It would be too broken if you can save at any point in any level and just load in when you make any mistake. In this case, the use of loading and saves would be banned. Please let us know how it works in this game.

Actually, it does not matter much that they have different abilities, it matters more if they have their own leaderboard. If not, then the only way would be if their differences are significant that playing as a different character would make for a different type of competitive game, and then we would have to see if it is able to be proven which character you use for any of the charts with a single picture. First, if each character does not have it's own leaderboard, then you use the best character (and that is up to each player to figure out which is the best for a given record).

I encourage you to read the post I linked at the top of this message. No matter how long, you can and should post all records that a game has to be added. It may be a bit of work, but if you want the game to be added properly, the best way is for the one that wants the game to list all charts. The format in the linked post is the recommended way to do it. It makes it easier for all of us.

I hope this helped give some info on this topic of new games on VGR.

The Save and Load feature can save your progress, but when you load you are back at the beginning of the level you saved at, not exactly where you left off, so it's not really of much use, but can help if you want to get some practice on a certain act.

With character leaderboards, Tails, for example, can easily backtrack in a level by flying, but only in Sonic 3, so for Most Rings he would be most efficient. When it comes to speed, Sonic is recommended, but when it comes to secrets, finding shortcuts or simply collecting rings, Tails or Knuckles may be a better option.

Also, this is my first time requesting a game, so I apologise for not exactly listing things correctly.
