Hi,
JesseLeePorter tried to fakes this max score by taking the screenshot at the right time even he know that after hitting 1mio, the Score goes back to Zero.
Theres no way to get just 10 Points to get a score higher then 999.950
He also posted a screenshot, and it's clear to see that the 999.9"9"0 was about to move up (slighly different Color)

Aladdin Score
So this score should be deleted.

I talked to Jesse for a bit and he has a good point. The rules don't clearly state that he is in the wrong. I still don't think it should be allowed, but the closest thing I could find in the rules for this situation is:
Article 2 – Making and sending scores
2.1 Score validity
..."All submitted scores must exactly correspond to the score displayed in the game."...
The Aladdin score did display in the game, even if for a split second. He would have been wrong to put 1 Million though.
This just shows that we need to improve the rules to be clearer on things like this.

So, the ...90 score displayed in this game, but with a glitch found by Jesse ?
And his picture really appeared (and was not modified) ?
If this score appeared for a split second, so he probably took pictures in rapid succession, right ?
If yes to all, his score is legit for me.
Look at the max score of niconoe in Quackshot: is it the same kind of case in Aladdin ?

Sry, but i was told Long ago, that only displayed scores are alowed and now "split sec." score are alowed too? Whats next? Just for fun scores that "maybe" possible? How about Looping scores back to Zero and Count till you die in a Game?
Time Based scores now useless too, because you can just stop the Game and take a picture of the "stopped" timer... wow how genius...
The fact that everyone of us can have this 999.9"9"0 score, but only if a VIDEO! picture(you can see this is like a "stream" setup) was made to proove is just plain stupid.
Change the score to 999.950 and everything is fine now.
The fact that everyone of us have this score virtualy doen't make this score more Special to "cheat" like this just to stay on first place...
for nicoones Quackshot score: this score goes not back to zero after hitting the max (like Kirby's Adventure on NES) but this Aladdin Scores DOES! (Same for Alleyway on Game Boy)
And it's not a glitch, it's just stopped. The next picture would be 0.

I did and maybe you miss seen the "A" on the left side of the score? It's the same Thing on Kirby's Adventure. This Shows that you reached the max.
But i know what you mean, the max possible score is 9.999.500 and not 9.999.900 because in the Game is no Option to get just 100 Points. (correct me if im wrong)
I think we need realy to talk about specific rules for max scores, because it's totaly unfair now, if max scores are not max scores anymore, because of BS like this. And i think you understand why this pisses me off, if i need to the the SAME thing again just because of this. It was hard enough NOT to go over 999.950, because you can not take a picture on normal way of the fact the score goes back to zero.
If you ask me: a score goes back to zero should have the max score possible ingame shown(after the score Counter stops moving). So if there's no way to get smaller amount of points, then the max is on the point until it goes back to zero (like in Kirby's Adventure, the max smallest possible points is 10, thats why the max score after reaching the "A" score is 99.999.990 and not 99.999.999 or 99.999.900)
And Aladdin have no "A" on the score if it jump's back to Zero.
And there's another reason against this: some Games have some sort of "score randomizing" i don't know how to spell it correctly, but what i mean is, the score goes "crazy"(all the numbers Counts up an down until it stops and Show the real score). So if you stop the score Animation in the right time, you will have a higher score than actually on a Picture. For me a stopped Counter on a Picture is like using "photoshop" for the "perfect" score. A score not possible ingame but "possible" only on a Picture.
Edit: Yoshi Story have this sort of "crazy" score Counters (all numbers rolls from 0 to 9 until they stop on the right score.)
Here's a Picture by just stoping the Video: (it's just an example, i have this picture from YT)
"
If we have a rule, that only the visible Numbers Count and not the actuall Ingame number, than this will easily break the logic of this rule and we have stupid scores all over the place.

I did see the "A", but I see that you understand what I mean.
Do not worry. I agree with you. The Max score for any game should be the highest possible score based on a stopped counter. The rule can be that it stays for at least 30 frames (half a second on a 60-frame game). The Max score for Alladin should be 999,950, while the max score for Quackshot should be 99,999,500 (if there are no ways to get under 500 points by a single action).

After playing this game recently, I made also the max score of 999 950.
So now, I change my older point of view and I think it is better to fix a rule, that the max score is 999 950 in this game.
JesseLeePorter can get back this score too, no needs that it stays deactivated (black square).

Im just tired of all this taking always way to long for such a simple logical thing. If i would not wrote anything here, the score of Jesse would be accepted and we stay with scores like this as "standard".
But it's not just playing Aladdin. There are many different old Games with a Score that goes back to zero and some max score player should easy know that this was not even worth a discussion in the past.
Jesse can get it's score back, if he try for real to reach the 999.950 without looping the score, just looping is not the same. Or do we change the rule now into "if you loop, the actually possible score counts"? I mean you @zephyraz also did play the Game now and for a max score, this Game is more gentle in how much time it takes. But the actuall hard part is to not mess up the final score without looping.
For the Quackshot score of nicoone: he has to change his score back to 99.999.500. He actually reached that score in the video. Since 99.999.900 is not possible without looping.

Edit: oh and remove Yoshi55 Score there, because 81.700 is also not possible. (or he can maybe tell us, where to find a 200 point place in the Game)

I will note this topic as reminder for the next council, because this case is more general and need to be finally fixed, or cleared.
You're right when you say that looping a score is really not the same as doing the max score exactly, Especially in this game where you need to count your points, to not exceed the limit. So probably that Jesse score should finally stay as black square status, until he proove that he get the max one.
I prefer that a decision is taken in the council, because it will be more objective than with me alone.
For Yoshi's score in Aladdin, you're wrong : it is legit because you can get 200 points with bat animals. So maybe you forgot or missed this detail, or you wanted to check if I played it entirely.
I will confirm you that the max score can be obtained after finishing the game, study the levels, and try to find where you can increase your score without loosing all your lifes (or where you can increase them). It can be easy or not, but long (many days...). I was bored to maintain my system on, but I was finally patient and happy to get the MB.

Even if it is not really the right topic where to talk about other games problems (that's why I was confused, sorry...), I well understand. I will check the problem for Quackshot later, because I also own this game now (temporarly).
During this period, don't hesitate to write a PM to Yoshi55 for explanations. Or open a new cheating topic, if necessary.

uhhh, maybe you should look at niconoe's video on that record...
