Hello,

Everybody knows how important it is to proove your records in VGR, and that's a good point.
However, recently lot of people made errors when they sent proofs. It concerns the record itself, or the specific details to identify it (difficulty, level, character, type of car, ...)

So, for newcomers (and also older members), in the next future, please check what is needed when you send proofs, and check proofs from other members.
This will avoid a lot of wasting time for you, and for VGR controllers.

By default, anybody can submit a score without having to prove it. In our mind, we hope people are honest and we trust everyone.
Yet once you have submitted a score any member can request that you provide proof.

If the request is considered reasonable you’ll receive a private message warning you about the 15 days you get to prove your score. If you don’t prove it during this time, your score is deactivated and you cannot submit another score on this chart until you provide proof!

Moreover, there are a few cases where we're asking you to prove a score right after it is submitted:
•Starting from 300 submitted scores, you have to prove at least 3% of your scores. If you try to submit a 301st without enough proofs, you won't be able to submit it.
•Whatever the number of submitted scores, any new score granting a first place on a chart has to be proved. Until you send your proof, it is not taken into account in the rankings. After 15 days waiting for a proof, the score is deactivated. If you are the first player to submit to a chart, this rule does not apply.

Of course, you can also prove a score without waiting for somebody to ask for it!
It’s very easy, just go to your score then click on the “Add a proof” button.

You will be able to upload a picture or a video and wait for a moderator to validate it!

Last thing: I strongly recommend you to send at least some proofs, especially in games where you still have 0 proofs, because you have more chances to receive asks for prooving (so you're risking their deactivation)
Thanks for understanding.

This isn't how it is anymore. They removed the first place needs proof rule.

It may be a good idea to mention that if you have 30 or more Deactivated scores (Black Square scores), then you won't be able to send more records until you get that number below 30 by sending in proof for those scores.

You're right.
Some admins or redactors did not change this detail after, it's sad, desperately... pff
Like others details in questions/FAQ part, where it says that the video system is in a new beta version and we can't use it now. What a joke ! Of course, this was made in 2012, and not corrected since, because the video system perfectly works.

I hope there will be more reactive people here for the V7 of VGR smile, because I think there will be a lot of mistakes like that after.

For a small reminder of what is needed when you make proofs: see upthere.

Also, for everybody, this site has 2 official languages: english and french.
So, for your proofs, it will be better to change your game settings (if you can) in english or french before taking pictures (or videos). Then it will make the work of controllers easier (and also to validate your proofs faster), because we have a lot of things to check.
This is not an obligation, but a strong advice, so please respect it for the next future.

Thanks for understanding.

about english and French only: i think it depends on the Game.

I rather ignore changing my 3DS every time from german to english and back to german on Games like Pokemon Rumble because: you see the Pokemon on the Screen, so no matter what language, you still can see what kind of Pokemon the score is for.

If you have only text but no visual differences between scoreboards, then i understand changing the language into english, but mostly you have on a Level based Games, the Number of the Level anyway (like Captain Toad + it has a visual Picture of the Level on the Screen.)

But yeah... i think vgr Need alot of changes, but it feels, that less and less People have time, or don't want to spend time on the site.
(zimers chase is like forever = he's back to buisness if i see what scores he post)
(no YT Video proof possible)
(missing Information for Games)
ect.

It just feels more and more like a "lazy" site. ppl still post there scores, but technicaly, there's no change (or i miss something, that the new Update is coming soon, because ppl actually work right now on it, but then there's again lack of information)

Hi admins!Question, that I didn't find an answer for:

For example,in a game called Slicks 'N' Slide,my character's name is Jesse Pienimäki(my real name),NOT MetalWarrior.

If I send pictures of proofs to that game,is it ok,that in the picture it says "Jesse Pienimäki"in the best lap times, instead of MetalWarrior? Will it still be counted?
In a nutshell: Do I have to play with MetalWarrior as a name in every game?

PS: Of course this question counts for every game. Slicks was just an example

you don't have to have the same name used on VGR and in the game.
what we look at above all on the proof is the correct mode of play and if the score is valid.

You can use your real name, your nickname, an abreviation of it or a pseudonym, as you prefer.
The ideal is to proove that you're really the author of the picture (or video), so choose your name precisely, in order to match with your unique account.
Remember that in somes (old) games, you can select only 3 letters/symbols.
As Foxof said, you can have many different names, we will check your record first.

You can indicate us your different names/abreviation in your profile presentation page.
You can also add a unique tag or symbol to your picture (like me or others done).
It can be a manual signature, or a digital one (you have the choice, be creative ok).

Also, note that we are now facing difficulties with proofs checking.
In the last months, 3 Proof admins leaved the team, so we are less to check them.
Sorry if some of your proofs are waiting since a long time.

Sometimes, there is no proof admin who knows or played your game.
Or if there is proof admin, they should normally check your proofs in the next days or weeks, they are aware of the problem.
We do what we can, step by step.
Now the recruitment period is over, but a new recruitment session can be opened if the problem continues, then if you're active and motivated, you will be able to help VGR.
Check the forum messages.

Thanks for understanding.
