Hello!
I´m from Germany, 22 years old and have started collecting video games in 2007. As a kid I owned a Sega Master System. Some years without video games followed before I started again with Gothic on the PC (in the year 2004 I think). In 2007 I rediscovered my love for retrogaming with a Super Nintendo and a Mega Drive, a Dreamcast later followed, too. These are all the consoles I have, but a friend has borrowed me his NES for quite a long time now.
I love playing for highscore (obviously ;) ). I become a lot more motivated in games with highscore opportunities where I can beat my own and other people's scores. My favourite genres would be Shoot ´em Ups, Sidescrolling Beat ´em Ups, Action and Jump ´n Runs.
My collection.
My favourite games:
PC: Gothic 1 & 2, Thief I & II, Max Payne 1 & 2, FlatOut 2
Arcade: Battletoads, Metal Slug 1 & 2 & 3
Dreamcast: Zero Gunner 2, Mars Matrix, Giga Wing, Under Defeat, MDK 2, Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi
Mega Drive: Contra: Hard Corps, Thunder Force III & IV, Streets of Rage II, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Rocket Knight Adventures
SNES: Donkey Kong Country 2, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Parodius Da!, Axelay, Turtles in Time
NES: Battletoads, Snake Rattle 'n Roll, Castlevania 1 & 3, Super Mario Bros. 3

Thank you everyone! :)
Yeah the Arcade game is pure greatness... so much fun and ridiculous humour. ^^
But the original NES game comes quite close because I love the obstacle levels, too. I´ve finished the Arcade game as well as Battletoads (NES) and Battlemaniacs (SNES), haven´t played the Gameboy version yet. Last but not least, I´m searching for an affordable copy of Battletoads & Double Dragon. Seems to be a good game, too, but has some flaws.
Well Ikaruga is on so many \"Best Shooters\" lists, that I can leave it out without any regrets. ;)
Joking apart... I mean, it´s a good game and has a revolutionary concept, but it´s not absolutely my taste. Additionally the gameplay is very unintuitive and you have to learn every little detail of the levels (especially when playing for score), so I don´t like it as much as most of my other shooters. But I like it :)
I added Giga Wing and Max Payne to my favourite games, nearly forgot them.
AL4 :
OMG a Battletoads fan ! I am a huge fan of this video games serie too ! Welcome at you !
IMO, the best Battletoads game is the Arcade one ^^ I have played (and completed !) all BT games, excepted the GB one.

Hello Battletoads!
It's sad to see that a shoot'em up fan like you haven't Ikaruga in your favorite Dreamcast Games list
