Individual game tournament

Hello there !!

I think about make individual tournament for some games, for example make a real game tournament on smash bros with proof of victory and at the end of the tournament players get "point tournament" or things like that.

The VGR tournament isn't bad, but I think that winning more platinum medal than his opponent isn't very spectacular and these big numbers can discourage some players.

Make tournament on the most popular game could encourage players to fit in tournament/games even if they aren't very good, making mario kart/smash bros/Kid Icarus/Touhou Project/Need for Speed.... tournament could encourage competition and it could be a way to use the VGR twitch channel.
However, I don't really know if some players are interested by this idea, and I don't know if there are too many differences between players'skills but why not try.

What kind of tournaments? Would it be based on the game's way of playing?
If you mean making a VGR Points or Medals tournament based on a certain game or series, then it has been done in the past, and it could make a comeback if enough people are interested. Take a look here: VGR Contest

If you what you want is a tournament format based on each game, like for Smash Bros., have a Bracket tournament with 3-Stocks, no items, etc. where the best players move on, then that's an awesome idea that has not been done yet (as far as I know).
