Nintendo don't make things easy for VGR. 😒

Like I said on Discord (for admins only, so hidden):
As always, you must post on the version you played, so on Switch here.
Switch version is not yet present on VGR, so you need to make a suggestion for its add.
This game was originally on N64, so it's now probably containing savestates, due to Switch Virtual Console adaptation.

As you should know (see News reminder: Decisions on Wii Virtual Console games), the N64 version will be splitted with the Wii version.
The Wii version will not be mixed with the WiiU version, because the Wii version will be unranked (due to Nintendo closure of the VC games catalog in January 2019).
The NTSC WiiU version should also contain savestates, that's why I think we can create the Switch version grouped with the WiiU version, so called "Wave Race 64 (NTSC)".

But in your article, contrary to what you said (sorry, you miss it !):
"Il sera ainsi possible de jouer aux versions NTSC/60hz des jeux qui seront proposés dans le futur catalogue Nintendo 64 du Nintendo Switch Online. Certains titres incluant des localisations en langue française, comme Super Mario 64 ou Lylat Wars, seront également proposés dans leurs versions européennes PAL."

"It will be possible to play the NTSC/60hz versions of the games that will be offered in the future Nintendo 64 catalog of Nintendo Switch Online. Some titles including French localizations, such as Super Mario 64 or Lylat Wars, will also be offered in their European PAL versions."

So there is some PAL games on Switch.
If some volunteers can list PAL games on Switch, and take care of things to do, it would be nice.

For reminder, NTSC games are faster (due to 60 Hz frequency), compare to PAL slower games (50 Hz), this has an impact on gameplay/speed, so on records. Thta's why we need to create and split NTSC and PAL games.
Now, if the WiiU accept PAL only, we can't mix WiiU and majority of Switch games...

People (not me, if possible...) should investigate about this, please.
Please clarify which versions were available on Switch, before and after the date of 11th October 2021.
And also check every VGR record made on Switch after 11th October 2021, for a potential split (due to NTSC).

zephyraz, stop to be skeptic. Everyone know that Wii don't have "savestates". Nintendo make us things easier than you think. If you don't believe the things for Wii then you should check any N64 game for Wii by yourself in you console or with a friend.

Now many people for this game and more uses capture recordings to make videos like this and uses tools to increase quality of videos.

Part of Prenz's declaration:

1) Separating VC games from the cartridge versions, for the 95+% of cases where NO differences exist, is one way to effectively KILL cross-generational competition.  Only people born in the 80's/90's who have these cartridges will basically be on the charts.  In years time, as games broke down and fewer and fewer people even have an NES, the charts become obsolete, uncared about, and 'clutter'.

2) The VC is a fantastic service that opens the doors to new generations forever, without sacrifcing the integrity of the source material and code.  Nintendo has created a system where you fairly pay for games that are the EXACT same code that was burned into cartridges.   Some known exceptions have been noted in games like Pokemon Snap, which called for N64 vs VC separation at Cyberscore. But exceptions have generally been found to be rare, especially on old school games, where it's a very simple 8 to 16-bit code.

As PMniac said, you should learn 2 or 3 things from Cyberscore. If you continue in your way, surely more users will leave VGR. Without consideration, then you should split scores from 2006 (VC appeared) to now. I don't have problem if magicbart posted his Switch score in N64 since mixing consoles is very common.

Please don't make this personal, Zimer (or there will be more to say about your behavior).

Don't worry, i like to discuss about this, even it is already debated since a long time ago.
You still don't understand that I'm not skeptic, but pragmatic and objective, independantly of your case (or others). I just apply VGR decisions.
I don't know where you found Prenz comments, I did not see this in his messages of the last 10 years. Moreover, it is irrelevant or off-topic, because there is differences in Wii VC.

My (or VGR) argues are based on true differences, please read the News topic "Reminder: decisions on Wii Virtual consoles games" again.
Wii have pause-savestate tool for VC games.
You're wrong, sorry.
And, one more time, this News was a reminder, so things have already been decided, by VGR Council, and not only me.

VGR need to guarantee the legitimacy of its records, and a fair competition.
Again, we can't compare records where there is differences, othewise rankings and competition is useless, and people are losing their time if they compete with different conditions...

You have to accept this if you stay on VGR, or you can also go in other sites where lot of strange things are possible, with mixed and unfair rankings...
