Salut,
Je me presente aussi.
Belge (Flamande) et née en 1972. Fait le calcule... je suis vieux. haha.
Je continue en Anglais car c'est plus facile pour ma à écrire mais tu peux répondre en Français ok

Playing video games since I was 6 when the fair came in town (2x a year). Had my ZX Spectrum when I was 10 and now the list has grown. See below.
I am a retro 8bit computer freak/collector and prefer playing on those systems. Raised with K7 and floppy disks cool
I keep my highscores (top 10) in xls (yes, i am a bit autistic for that). But it's nice to see some 30-35 years old scores being beaten by yourself at age 45 happy. Or worse, you wonder how you got such a highscore (like Decathlon... can't waggle that joystick so fast anymore)

My first console was the PSX. I had to have Ridge Racer smile
Never played consoles intensively like I did with my 8 bit computers as it lacked Highscores.... I am not interested in speedruns, point pressing or other lame strategies to obtain a highscore. I don't use save states when playing on emulators (e.g. MAME) to finish a game on 1 credit etc. I just play and die a lot.
I refuse learning the PacMan pattern aww. Yes, I am quite stubborn too.

All my submissions here are played on real hardware with original joysticks and games.
I do play other games on real hardware via virtual diskdrives (like the Gotek on my Amiga/Atari ST and Amstrad) and Everdrive/Flashcards. It's still unclear if I can post such scores. It's not emulation. It just emulates the storage device. It's accepted on TwinGalaxies and Highscore.com (the latter I am also a game admin). So I really want to know from you guys if it is allowed or not. I saw some comments in the Forums from admin guys it is allowed as everybody does it, as long as it played on real hardware (which I do).
1 out of 3 floppy disks or K7 or unreadable due to their age (+30 years) so I am glad to play them via the Gotek. And it loads almost instantly... no waiting for 4 to 5 minutes before playing. You youngsters don't know how we 'suffered' back in the 80's slurp

Never liked fighting games and flight sims. I bought Tekken for the PSX just to have that Namco Arcade Stick. And I still use it. All the other game genres I enjoy playing.

I once played intensively Battlefield (the first one BF 1942, BF Vietnam and BF 2) in a 'war team' named LRRP. We made it to BeNeLux champion one year. But I quit after several years as it became too serious. Just had a family ok

I like this site and wondered how come I didn't find it before as it is running for quite some years now. It's very professional build, fast and managing and submitting scores is very easy.

I do have some recommendations:
1. posting a video URL. I've got for every submission a Youtube URL. The video available now don't work for me. This is handy as for a lot of games it's impossible to proof with one screenshot you played that particular level or track. Adding just an URL next to the snapshot wouldn't be that difficult ...
2. adding a 2nd screenshot. I always take a snapshot of my game setup when playing/having an end score for that particular game. To proof it's played not on emulation.
3. adding a comment to your submission
4. I didn't find it yet but how can you have a list with e.g. top 100 players from Belgium? I only see who's in the top league. I am just curious how many Belgium players there are (active) here. At Highscore.com I am a lone wolf.

But ok for now ok

Welcome in VGR !!! happy Nice presentation, there is lot of things to say...

I think we will be very happy if you share with us your (long) experience in video games.
It is always nice to see a guy like you coming here. Even after waiting a long time, you show us that everything is possible.
You can always find many challenges in your games and in all your systems you own.
I think there is more choice and more competition here than in other sites, because lot of members bring their own favorite games, and the site improves.
You can spread the message to the others site members, I'm sure they can be interested to discover VGR... and why not suscribe.

Have fun in VGR!  happy Enjoy posting your scores and proofs like you did the last 3 days. Amazing !
See you... ok

=== Currently playing the Atari XL. Love the MSX and PC Engine as it has a lot of games I never saw. And of course my trusty Speccy and C64.
