Yes, today marks the end of my first year here on VGR, one of hopefully many to come, and wow what a year it has been. 29 games, 6,468 submissions, 6,293 of them golds, over 3,000,000 PointsRecords, an interview, top 100 placements on all six Member leaderboards, the list goes on and on. Out of all the competition sites I've competed on the last few years, which includes The Sonic Center and Cyberscore, this one is my favorite, and I'll tell you why.

The Games
Even Cyberscore pales in comparison to the amount of games this site has for competition, and even if both sites have a game, they don't always have the same charts. I love VGR for its massive inventory of games it has for competition. Seriously, over 4,000 games and growing. That's amazing.

The Community
This is probably the best part about VGR, the community of gamers that know what it means to be good at gaming. They'll be there for competition, to resolve a problem, to offer encouragement, or just to chat! All you have to do is put yourself on the forum, and you'll meet some great people.

The Tournaments
No other site offers annual tournaments, let alone biannual tournaments like this site does. I wish I could have been here in the heyday of the tournaments, when there was more competition, I'll bet it was amazing seeing platinum after platinum being posted here, there and everywhere. Nonetheless, my first tournament was probably the most fun I've ever had on a competitive gaming site, and I look forward to the next one.

The Rankings
Seriously, this site has it all, and this includes the six rankings it has. I couldn't think of more ways to rank a player on a gaming site, and seeing my rank on all these different leaderboards is so much more satisfying than just typing in a first place record. It allows you to set higher goals for yourself, and see what your best areas of competition are.

This site is incredible. Don't let anyone tell you different. If you think someone might wanna get into competitive gaming, tell them to come here, cuz no one does it better than VGR.

To the staff of VGR, keep up the great work you're doing to make this site possible. I believe I speak for all us members when I say we appreciate the hard work you do behind the scenes to make sure this site runs smoothly.

And to think only a year ago, I had no idea this site even existed.
Here's to another great year!

Nice way to put it all.
VGR is Also My Favorite and I compete on 4 different Sites including Cyberscore as well.
Recently, The community has changed a lot, so it hasn't always been like this, but I like what it is becoming. A lot of members have left, Some banned... The people who have stayed are loyal to the site, and they seem to be some of the best kinds of people. smile
I noticed a growth of posts recently and you are part of that growth. Once the Admins finish up VGR V7, We should surely have more activity including that of the Admins. yes

Congrats on your Amazing accomplishments and I hope to see you continue to post here for a long time. happy

Thank you for all these nice assessments for a great site like VGR. happy
You're right, here there is nice games, nice people, and many different ways to compete, with few or many hundreds of records.
VGR should be better known by gamers (occasional or hardcore), so if you can advert many other people around you, it will be greater. Don't hesitate to spread what you wrote upper !
See you here for a new great year...ok
