These are a Few Reasons:
- They are generally Illegal.
- You can Cheat on them to get high scores without any real way to prove you didn't use cheats.
- The Controls Mostly will be different, so even if you didn't cheat, it can be an unfair advantage to those who played on the Actual Console...
There are more Reasons, but I will let someone with more knowledge of Emulators talk about it.

nope. even if you make a fair Video proof of Emulator using without cheating, it shouldn't be allowed.
If you do not have a Game is not a good reason to use an emulator. Don't even think about using an emulator on this site.
Do you know the TAS(TAS Wiki) Videos on youtube? ppl using a programm to upload speedruns without any fails and it looks like he never using a savestate or anything else, but in fact, the end video do not show that this TAS user are "cheating".
If you do not have a Game is not a good reason to use an emulator. Don't even think about using an emulator on this site.
