New Personal Records Thread

When I have free time, I'll make a video showing how to do many of the strats. For example, a 0.08 flap for GV3 is easy to manage, you just have to know how to do the strat (.05 and .03 are much harder to do though). edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYQh7XYWMtA This is the .08 strategy. Make sure you have the same blocks removed and that you approach it from the same angle, and that you shroom and hop.

SNES Vanilla Lake 1 1lap: 0'04"85 (WR) This took me around 16 total hours to get. My PR was 0'05"17, and I wasn't happy with it, so I slaved over the course until I got WR. The previous WR was 0'04"86, and was thought by many to be perfect. Well, obviously it wasn't. :cool:

16 hours for to get a only WR. You give their heart to just get a single record set by you before proceeding to the next. I can spend up to three hours on a single record. If it does not work, I go to the next and I'll be back later with more. I also see Emperor who tries to make you competitive. But I think you are well advanced for not be beat.

Emp91 has some good times (the best of them being SNES GV3 5lap), but he hasn't put enough effort into the game to match me. Maybe in the future he can, though. Also: SNES Bowser Castle 2 1lap: 0'14"60 (WR) That gives me 18/20 of the SNES 1laps. My goal is 20/20.

Boo Lake (non-SC): 1'12"51 (#4 WW)

SNES Donut Plains 2: 0'56"95 (WR) Very clean run. Been playing this track because Shock and I had a WR battle here in the previous week. This is the first sub-57".

RMC4 lap: 0'00"18 (WR) "01 cut from my previous WR. The flap is now max'd out.

Lakeside Park (SC): 0'21"73 (#3 WW) / American Record

Yoshi Desert 1lap: 0'08"80 (WR) Very lucky run. Beats cstrakm's old WR by "08.

RRR flap: 5"08 Was WR for about 3 days, Etch beat it back today though.

Looks like Etch broke the RKB2 flap WR with a time of 00"24 :P Was only a matter of time. I'll try to max it out at 00"18 when I actually have another working GBA charger.

Nintendo really messed up this game with all those glitches XD. But I can't pull off a glitch for example Cheese Land, is there a way to do these glitches easily?

There's an easier method than the one that Ryou, cstrakm and myself used; our method is almost 100% luck-based lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-5hTielDF4 Just try to mimic this and you should be able to do it fairly easily.

Added cstrakm's videos to the site. No, the runs are NOT done on an emulator. Between 2003-2006 or so, the Japanese had a service that Nintendo provided them that allowed them to record on a device that had high quality, so nearly every Japanese video is in good quality and not done with a camera. The service was discontinued in the mid 2000's, and camera recordings have been used since then.

Hi VGR, I recently joined and started getting GP times. They are not very good so I can still improve! New LP 100cc GP time = 14"30 http://i.imgur.com/IXKvXsq.jpg I use banana trick to skip laps on courses with walls at finish lines.
