Hello darklag2, there are over 3000 games and not everyone can know each game that has been added. You say that the scores here are higher than the Arcade WR, but we have the console versions.
Are you aware of potential version differences?
Also note that VGR would allow you to choose the setting which allows for the highest score. Playing with 2 players is forbidden. Is there any indicator whether it was played with 2 players or not?
F.e. in this proof: http://image.vgr-fr.com/preuve/4288/42458.jpg it says 1P Result so there's no way it was (partly) played with 2 players?
Continues likely wouldn't be allowed in this game either, but if used the Score wouldn't end on 0, right?
And lastly about saving, it this even possible looking at the platforms it's on?

Console versions is the same as arcade version. On one of his videos for msx final screen showed 100 pows rescued, and the maximum in 1p play is 96...In ms1 he started mission6 with 3.8m score and 1 life lost, wich is impossible even on hard(level-6) and time 70. You can get the idea on this link (3.1m): dailymotion.com/video/xn4doi_metal-slug-level-4-3-170-700-pts-part-2_videogames
