Yep, we haven't even finished the 2012 nominations and I'm proposing changes for next year's awards. My suggestion is:
1. We change the name of the Legendary Member list to the "VGR Hall of Fame"(or anything similar other users want to suggest), as that is essentially what it is anyway. This award would not be available to previous inductees, or players registered with the site within the last 2 years(eg. to be eligible for the HoF in 2013, you would have to be registered before 1/1/12)
2. We create a new award for the "VGR Player of the Year"(again, suggestions welcome) which is awarded to the best player of the year. This would be available to any user registered on or before 1/1/13
The reason I suggest this is that the current system only has 1 flaw IMO, and that is that Legendary users aren't allowed to win the award more than once.

The major flaw in the current systems, is that if a player stop playing, he will never be a legend.
The great players of the past must have a chance... So the Hall of Fame system would be better.

I like this idea.
If this is ever implemented, I would also like to see a Page where you can see the "Hall of Fame" (like under The MEMBERS Tab).

VGR Hall Of Fame is a brilliant idea because many legendary player don't come to VGR anymore.

I like this idea too.
It is better to make the difference between the "Hall of fame" and the "Player of the year".
Then, a member can be several times "Player of the year", and even if he is already a legend.

Administrators probably haven't seen your topic or haven't had the opportunity to respond you.
However, you don't have need administrators to launch the idea this year. You can suggest dates for suggestions and votes, like those of the legendary member.
If your topic has success, administrators will see it and maybe your idea will apply from next year (like VGR Tournaments).
