Is it not something cumulative or too linked to the score?

It is not Cumulative, It resets back to 0 when you lose the game. and It isn't Exactly linked to the other score... It is possible to get more points than someone on a higher Phase.
For Example: on Phase 1, there are 3 or 4 Enemies. Killing one would give 800 pts, 1600 pts, if two within a second, 2400 pts if three-in-a-row within a sec between each kill, etc. So It is possible to get a Score of 4800 pts on P=1 if You kill all 3 in a row or you can get 2400 if you Kill each separately.
This is why I think it should be a record.
