[SM3DW Wii U] Champion's Road Speedrun - Time: 126 (Tied WR with LuigiMaster)

Got it! Great run. Tied WR with LuigiMaster.

Some important things:

- Time is measured by in-game seconds. The game has its own timer, and the time gotten is shown after clearing a level, which is basically the number of in-game seconds that have passed since the start of the level. The game saves your best time for each level.
- In-game seconds aren't real seconds, they run a bit faster. An in-game second is 3/4 of a real second.
- The speed techs used here are: regular cat momentum (scratching before touching the ground when diving and jumping to keep the speed) combined with a crouch boost tech (doing very brief crouches before jumping) combined sometimes with vectoring to gain even more speed. I also do an edge crouch at the first section (a crouch off the edge of a platform) to get more speed.
- The crouch boost tech needs to be done with the run button held for it to give a better boost.
- I switch to boomerang at the dash section to get 2 of the key coins from distance. The damage boost at the end of that section is intentional and it's totally irrelevant for the time, since the in-game timer stops during the damage animation.
- After getting the last key coin and unlocking the warp box, I loiter a bit to prevent going past the warp box before it's able to be entered (because the warp box takes more time than it seems to be able to be entered).
- At the Thank You section, I do many crouch boosts to build a very good speed through the section.
- Getting that fast slide at the flagpole section is pretty precise. It saves some time because you slide faster and get a faster slide speed after diving.
- Warp boxes keep a big part of the speed gotten before entering them.
- These speed techs aren't glitches, or at least I don't consider them glitches. It's just how the physics of the game work. And obviously there is no hacking or cheating here.
