after you beat Ganon, you can see that in the Menu too. Gives for GBA too (+ 4 Swords Adventure)
But is this realy a Score? The most Zelda Game have this like Zelda OoT, Minish Cap ect.
If you want that, why you dont ask for this too: get all 20 Hearth, collect the max of Rupies, get all Items, Find all Skulltulas (in OoT) ect.
Many Games have \"scores\" like that, but is this not a part of the Game to beat it? Just finish Zelda without dying is easy, very easy, if you die: you dont must safe the Game, Start and try again with more Hearth, Red Potion, use fairys in the bottle ect.
For me is this not realy a \"Highscore\"

No, that´s not true. If you loose a life, the game safes. You can´t press the reset button and try again! I tried it! Look here, I posted it here. So, it isn´t so easy how you are maybe thinking.

And if you use a fairy, the game counts a lost life.

ok then i miss this part with auto safe, but is still easy, the guys they want to play this game on \"highscore\" know how to play it and i think noone have problems to beat it without dying ;)

Well it doesn´t actually say \"Life Lost\" you just made this up.
The game says \"Games played\" i assume every Save & Quit counts as \"Game played\", IIRC you can´t Save & Continue.
Anyway i agree it´s not a Record, but VGR is named wrong it says Video game Records, but has charts where no Record is involved =P

Foxof :
normal that cumulative
if at the end of the game there is a way to see if the game is probably finished with the logo of the Triforce has side and the number of lives so that this record has no place after I read everything
So I do not know where is going this topic
