Exceptions for maxed scores
8件のメッセージ normal
This topic is created for a new Game Rules feature, in this case for odd ways to show maxed score.
Part of article 2.1 says this: "All submitted scores must exactly correspond to the score displayed in the game. If the game saves the score, it is the saved score that prevails over the score displayed during the game."
In other words, you have to hit exactly max value if you have plans to do it. Overflows are not allowed. But there are exceptions due behaviors of the games. If you don't undestand what means all this, let me start with some examples:
- Alleyway (GB): After hitting one more point than 9999 symbols appears in this order: (mushroom = 10000, flower = 20000, and star = 30000, after it loops again to 0 and star). In this case VGR accept as max value 9999 showing a score at least with mushroom symbol.
- Galaga (NES): Game shows 6 digits meaning 999990 as max score. After that value score resets to 0 but symbols starts to appears making that best score doesn't stop.
- Kirby's adventure (NES): Max score for the game is 99999990 points, but after that score, an "overflow" with hexadecimal values starts to appears.
- SSBU Training charts: Max score is 65535 combos but the value which is saved is shown in the game as ---.
- Yoshi's story: Maxed scores for Trial mode are 10000 points but the game shows it as A000.
It would be good if other users list game that have maxed scores represented in odd ways.
Thanks for all your informations, it's important to know for Proof admins, notably.
Unfortunately, in the new v7, the Games forum were not copy/paste in the Game, so you need to find these informations with a Research tool (and hope that the name of the game was put in the topic title...)
So, I also add one:
For Aladdin (Genesis/Megadrive), the max score is 999 950. You need to count your points, to not exceed the limit.
Because after that, the score goes back to 0 and continue again.
