Hi

i made this Thread, because the \"tetris cheat thread\" would be ignored for the most ppl.

The problem is we have so many games on this site, the most made with a glitch, some maybe made with a cheat. so i give here some exsamples:

Is it a cheat or a glitch on Super Mario World to get the max score? look at here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ORtLj_xBoU

Is it a cheat or a glitch on Super Mario Sunshine to get the max coins in some lv?

Is it a cheat or a glitch on Wave Race so use a yeah... a start trick to get more points for each trick.
without: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yahRWIMAiSA

A ingame cheat is for me if the game give you the chance to use a button combination or a option to write a cheat.

For tetris nes i dont find any videos on youtube and in the Original manual dont stay anything about this trick.

I hope the ppl look at the thread and we find/make some new rules for think like that(and before a new game set on the Scoreboard)

When a player make some special combo with buttons to help him: it's a cheat.
Cheat codes are used by game testers to avoid them to redo all the game just for test a level, or in order to help programmers to avoid glitches.
Some of cheats are let by the game editor to make the game more \"funny\" when people know them.

Glitches are definitly differants: there are problems occurs during playing, might be forgotten by the programmers and the testers. If you play an old game and suddently a black screen appears with the message \"Stack Overflow Error\", for example, it's a glitch. If, without using a cheat code, you character pass through a wall beacause programmers didn't verify that there's really a wall here (and so, you go throughb the texture), it's still a glitch.

Now, obiouvsly, the max score on Super Mario World is a glitch and not a cheat: I don't think he used a code to do this, beacause I can't think that a programmer make a button-combo to allow that kind of thing. So I hardly think it's a glitch that programmers and testers didn't verify 20 years ago.
For Wave Race, I saw both video and, again, it's still a glitch: programmers and testers didn't know that if you press start at the same moment you touch the \"(water)ground\" when doing a backflip, the combo continue. There's no combinaition to push like \"Up - Down - Left - Right - Up - Up\" to make that bug work.

So, a cheat is exactely what you meant in that topic, and it's forbidden on VGR.
Glitches are allowed.
