There are 2 charts in this game which are redundant for competition:
Total Points
Total Stars
They are just accumulated stats that only reflect how much someone has played the game. They're really no different to 'Playtime' in the 3DS Activity Log.

I thinked that these records was a Total of all your record with a maximum. But if you tell us there is no limit with something cumulative, we need delete them.
