I hereby officially recommend that IPhone/Android games do not count towards the official site rankings, but towards a brand new ranking. This is due to the sheer amount of records that affect the ranking, as well as the availability of the games.

Some of the games suggested are also free(Flow Free and Flow Free Bridges come to mind), which breaches the rules regarding free games, yet hundreds and thousands of records are allowed on these games, despite the rules of the site forbidding it.

To sum up:

1. A suggestion for Phone games to have their own ranking
2. Clarification of the "No free games" ruling, and the rule to be strictly imposed(every other rule of the site are strictly imposed, I see no reason why this should be different)

I now hand over discussion of the subject to the rest of the members

I am totally against this split.

1) Number of scores
What if a licenced PC game that contains 16000 records? It will break "the rule" as you seem to understand them so it doesn't have its place on VGR?

2) Kind of "free games" accepted on VGR
A free game is accepted on VGR when a society got a licence to distribute their product. That is not the case for flash games. I don't know how works Android but for iOS device, Apple strictly manage all apps the developers send and the apps must have an editor (Rovio for Angry birds saga, Zeptolabs for Cut the rope saga, etc...).

Keep in mind that "Flow games" that their scores as not considered as records for all members only affects the PointRanking since it's relativity easy to max the score. So it doesn't affect MedalRanking.
Also, PointRanking always had sense for quantity of records and MedalRanking always had sense for quality records, since platinium medals exists.
So if you think the VGR rankings are broken because of iOS/Android games, just aim the MedalRanking.

I understand what you mean thelegendarypsr, but niconoe makes a good point.

I don't really play many iOS or Android Games because I don't have enough space for the games, so It would benefit me that they would be split from Video Game Consoles, but I think it should stay the way it is.

I understand your opinion too, psr. But I think that the VGR rankings should stay like that.

Since the system gives points for a record and not a game, there will always be a difference between games with 1 or few records and games with thousands.
Because of that, the only way to compare old games with others is to fight for the MB.
That's why I immediately remarked that the Points ranking does not well represent the best player here, but the one that plays lot of games, popular games or limited/maxable scores.
It is one of the reason why I created the Z ranking, trying to offer a new vision of the quality players, which depends more on their ability  to beat records than to post on every score. In reality, your remark just goes in that way.

If you want to know who is really good, you need to study in details the players profile, and the type of games played. I’ve already done that.
It is sad to realise that you can not fight equally between your unique and long time record, and with records done in few seconds. But strange to realise that only now.
But that's the VGR system, and people should not give such a big importance to these quantitative rankings. Even if it seems to make you proud of what you’ve done.

So every record has a place here, even if it increase the disparity in rankings (global and still quantitatives...).

And what's about a kind of  "general ranking for each player" ?
For example, on Djon's Profil, you can have access to Djon's General Ranking.

It's will show you the same as top 100 points and medals ranking but ONLY records where the player posted is used to done theses rankings. With this, you can see your main rivals on your games only and fight against them and don't care about other players who beat you only because they have iOS Games for example
