[new subs] Super Mario Sunshine

As Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Sunshine has something similar to the category "Part Galaxies (Coins)", you can create a new category called "Part Stages (Coins)" because every different episode of a stage has a different amount of maximum coins, and the subcategories are: Bianco Hills - Episode 1: Road to the Big Windmill Bianco Hills - Episode 2: Down with Petey Piranha! I don't think it's a good idea, because there is no way to have a picture whith your amount of coins when the level is over.

I will check on my console when I had the time. I'm not sure that the parts are accumulated for each episode automatically save.

They are not saved on the memory. The only coin records that are saved on game memory are the ones from the maps like you already have on the site for competition, but you can add for all levels since it's possible to see which map you got coins at the end and it's a record. Please add those subs, this game is very cool =)

Since this records do not exist in the game, I do not understand why they should be add to the site... In Mario Galaxy, this records are shown by the game, not here.

If you take a picture before you get the shine sprite, there is nothing to say you wont die the moment you take another step(the eel dentist shine is a great example), so it doesn't mean you have the record. This also would have to go on mario 64 as well, and those coin charts are dodgy enough as it is(see:video proof of zimer using an emulator on youtube) I dont find it to be a bad idea, but legit reasons for it not to be added have been put forward, and tgey should take prioritu

The other problem is, you can find a shine that is not of the episode you are playing : For example, when playing Episode 1 on Bianco Hills, you can take the shin of the Episode 2. But you are still playing the Episode 1.

That is a good point, at least on galaxy the records are individual, the same on games with similar records(rings on sonic games). Pmniac, i dont think the game being "cool" is enough to get this added :smile:

If those subs are adding, we should prove them only with a video, because we can't see the end of the level and the amount of coins in one photo.

If your problem is that it's possible to end on a different eppisode Shine Sprite, then it's also possible on Overall Bianco Hills, you get 209 on the main map, and 3 on the 3rd episode special stage. And each eppisode have different ammounts of coins to get. Even if you select Bianco Hills, eppisode 1 and end on the eppisode 2 shine sprite the max you could get is 111 and if you select eppisode 2 and end on it's own shine sprite you can get a max ammount of 116 coins. As I explained, you can press START on the GC Controller under the shine sprite so you are just one jump to victory you wont ever die (it's the most hardest thing, die right after the Shine Sprite, I consider it impossible xD), and under the CONTINUE, QUIT options you have smaller letter saying the name of the eppisode you 1st entered, and on your up right corner you have the amount of coins you caught. I don't see anything bad on this :S

Video proof is not a problem at all for this, but picture proof shouldn't be allowed because you cannot prove the score and that the level was completed(even if you are right below the shine, the level isn't completed). Even then, it would have to be full video proof, not just a video of the end of the level

Upload a full video with all coins will take too much time I think, I guess it will be ok if we have just the name of the level, the amont of coins and the end of the level. I can understand your point about the length of time, but Niconoe has said before on other games he doesn't like video proof that doesn't show the full run.

As yicestmoi said, on red coin challenge speedrun sometimes you die when you collect all 8 coins without get the sun and some records are still accepted. So a video proof for this kind of score is not necessary since you got the coins and the name of the chapter. A video proof from beginning is just to "steal" the knowledge from where the other coins are in case you don't know the coin location or how to get them. It's ok if anyone wants to share the full video. Another problem is the video size, for example on Bianco Hills, it took me more than 1 day of trys to get that score, and I don't have a record device only the webcam of my laptop. So I would have to keep the webcam recordsing for more than 1 day, and then edit the video? Too much work :damn: I liked yicestmoi idea, but it's about mods to add this or not. I don't really care much anymore what will happen next, this was just a suggestion and I spent too much time writting, maybe it's time to stop :no:
