Don't know where to post this, but I tried event matches for the first time yesterday, got a few decent records. Event Match 3 (1P) - Pink Ball Elimination Easy: 2.31s Medium: N/A Hard: 3.31s I did the "Hard" record before I watched the WR video and saw that I was doing it wrong. I was chasing Kirby off and then throwing him out. You have to do a perfect up B for the optimal strategy. Also didn't pause cancel. Also did Event Match 3 (2P) with my cousin. Our scored after an hour or so: Easy: 7 Medium: 6 Hard: 6 I played Easy for a while after he left and tied 7 numerous times. Getting 8 is based on luck whether or not they fly out of the top or sides of the ring. I'll manage 8 on all 3 before too long though.

Event Match 1: Easy: 3.55s Medium: N/A Hard: N/A

Event Challenge 3 (Hard): 0:02.85 (World record tie) :lol: I missed the frame cancel though.

Congrats. :) Are you going to try more modes, or stay playing only Event Mode Records?

I intend to play every Event Mode (both 1P and 2P) and then do the target smash records for every character. I doubt I'll do the training 999 combo / endless/multiman/cruel Brawl because I'm not a very patient person. I can play short records for hours on end (I played 16 hours a day for 2 days in a row this weekend), but long high-score based things just piss me off.

I understand that Very Well. same here for me about how Lenghty Records piss me off too, but Since I have a Higher than average Patience, I like to play Endless Brawl and Cruel Brawl because most others don't have the Patience to beat my records. :lol:

I might try the 10 man Brawl, maybe the others if I feel like a few extra points some day. I'm going to do the 999 combo in training after all, since I realized that all you have to do is use a smart bomb, then spam the smart bomb until you've got 999 hits (about 35 seconds), then move to the next character. It's boring though.

Sure. Go for the 10-Man Brawl! :smile: I know what you mean about Training. I just did them because of Easy Golds, like anyone can do it... My Brother and Sister did it. Except R.O.B. It is the only character where you have to be in a specific area, or like we did, make a stage where the Opponent doesn't escape. My Brother could do it, but my sister failed, only character she couldn't do. :sad: Either way, for the Most Part, Training Mode is too easy. Multi-Man Brawl is fun for me, not only for Records, but to actually get better at PVP. I have actually been successful at Fighting the Cruel Brawl Alloys Head on and get a decent amount of Kills. 15 Head on with Lucas, 7 with Wolf, 5 With Mario, 8 With Snake, 14 with Zelda. That's pretty impressive. Are the AI any harder than normal on Cruel Brawl?

The Alloys in Cruel Brawl are Overall Better than Lv. 9 CPU's. The Character Enemy that appears every 25 KO's is At the same difficulty as the Alloys, but are harder since they can Fully Use their Move Set, opposed to the Alloys only being able to grab, and regular "A" Button attacks. The Character Enemy can also Edge Grab so it becomes a Much Tougher if you are not prepared.

Ah, sounds interesting. I recently downloaded Project:M and have been busy playing multiplayer on it (goal is to start competing in Smash tournaments within a year or two). I have to say, Project M does not disappoint.

I have heard of Project M, but I haven't played it. I actually Prefer to Play the Original Brawl because of the Records and because I can play it anywhere that s friend has Brawl. I need to start getting back at making Brawl Records now that Zimer is gone. I now have a chance at getting many Platinums from the Modes I play. :lol:

Well yeah, Project M is pretty much specifically for multiplayer and tournaments. It doesn't have its own missions, etc. It's very easy to load too; just load it into the root of an SD card (no hacks needed) and it auto-boots when you enter the stage builder. IDK if there's a PAL version yet though.

That is true, it is easy to do, but I haven't really looked for it or had much interest in playing it, though a friend of mine had wanted to try it. Maybe I will give it a try soon if he does decide to download it. Right now, I am going to concentrate on The Games I haven't Finished Yet, and Get a Few More Platinums in Cruel Brawl and Endless Brawl before the End of the Year. :smile:

Didn't go for the frame cancel, would have tied #2 worldwide if I managed to get it though. Still absolutely no idea how No1InParticular managed to get so lucky in his 0:01.85 record.
